1974 D- Hair ?

Found this yesterday Looks like there is something wrong with the hair, top of head. Looked for some pics on line to compare it to couldn't find any . The only thing i can think of is a couple of hits or just normal Die?

Wind blown but really...it looks like a die gouge.

Hmm, maybe a gouge or a dent. I wouldn't rule out part of a crack where that area chipped off a little.
