This 73 has a very nice offset tail on the 9 but it could just be a well placed die dent. The pictures do this anomaly no justice being very weak and too reflective. The scope just made it worse so I used standard photos.

I see what appears to be a normal 1973 cent with maybe a die crack or chip at the tail of the 9. 1973 dates always seemed weird to me, but it certainly does not look like a doubled die on this particular coin. I think the name wapa was referring to is AAGO. (Almost A Good One)Bob Piazza

Thanks for the input, I will keep it because it's a beautiful MS coin. I have looked at so many 73's and have only found the Denver DDO and this one. All the others have been rather boring to go through.Even a fool can look wise if he keeps his mouth closed.Comment
