My son handed me a penny that he found in change. He said it felt lighter than most pennies and is not made of copper. It is very yellow in color. I agree with him that it is lighter in weight than the standard penny. I read that there can be a chemical reaction when copper coins are placed in certain chemicals. Is this common?
