1984 Lincoln cent, missing clad ?

The coin is near mint quality, non magnetic and weighs 2.5 grams. Hard to see from pictures but it is silver very shiny. Can someone give me the scoop on it ?

Lincoln cents are not clad, they are plated. Yours seems a normal weight - the color seems pinkish (and normal), but sometimes digital cameras don't get the color right. Lincoln cents sometimes are very shiny and other times rather dull. Both would be considered normal.

If you could get a closer pic showing the coins color much better that would help... I do agree with Jason... The color does look like it is plated but as Jason stated the digital cameras do not always show the color well... If it is not plated I suggest you send it to one of the attributers on LCR so they can verify then send it to be slabbed... Either way it is a very nice looking 84... The mint was still learning how to plate them properly and most have corroded... LOL!!!

          1984 Lincoln cent, plating issue.

Additional pictures using different camera. Input most welcomed.
          Thanks,

A normal plated cent can be that shiny. It could also have been lightly polished or even have a very thin plating of another metal on top. That said, it is either a normal coin, or has been altered. I lean toward it just being normal.
