    97D DDR Dropped Element?

    Another from my stash... Nice DDR C7B6... Possible dropped element at the bottom of B6... I did an overlay to show where I believe it came from... Hope the pics are ok... I did not find a match on coppercoins for the DDR but it may be to minor!!!

    Is the anomaly incuse (recessed) or raised? I'm not sure what it is. Dropped elements are recessed; they are hardened gook that falls out an imbeds itself into the coin. Usually the gook falls off of the coin later. Can you get just a closeup of it?

      I will get a close up for you today... The anomaly is in relief so it can't be a dropped element!!!

        Sorry for the delay... I couldn't find the darn coin... I took 3 pics with different lighting angles... Hope this helps!!!

            Thanks Jason for the look... Now if I could find the other coin with the same anomolly but in a different spot (In AMERICA if my memory serves me correct)... I will check with Bob also... Maybe I'm lucky and have a die dent and deep gas bubble together!!!
