          I have this penny that looks like a steel penny. I can see copper top of IN GOD WE TRUST ... what does every think ... is this possible?

            I'm not an expert but it looks like yours was stripped of it's copper by someone, post mint damage.

              By all means get it certified then graded. I distrust unplateds because I know a process that produces examples EXACTLY like yours, very pretty, but I will not reveal it. And no, I do not own any unplateds. I hope yours is real, so pretty.
