It appears to be of the copper alloy but can you take more pictures! If you can weighting it would help too!

Likely plated. Did you do a magnet test on it?

More than likely plated. These are not uncommon at all to find in batches of wheats. What is the weight?

Can you take a photo of it on a white background like paper? The dark backdrop in your photo throws the tone of the coin.

It does look interesting, but photos don't tell a whole lot. Without a scale this coin would have to be examined by someone else to tell anything for sure.

Something looks off. Here is a real steel cent with the date from the coin in question superimposed on it.

Can't tell much by those pictures. But if it is what you say, it would be best to send to somebody like Jason or Bob,let them determine if it is a fake before sending to a TPG.

I don't know if it is just the pictures, but the color/texture does not look right. The copper cents that were struck usually have well-defined features, because they were struck with dies meant to mint steel cents. Yet, I am seeing weakness in LIBERTY as well as a few places on the reverse. I am not discounting the possibility of a struck-thru grease, but it is something to keep in mind.
