    Lamination?

Hi, just wanted to know if this is lamination? The coin is a 1946-d. Thanks.

I want to say it most likely is a lamination error, as opposed to a fluke gouge of the coin with metal retained.

So it is a "retained lamination?" I read about it on error-ref.com. Thanks for the answer too jcuve.

Thanks for the info Jason. My first impression looks like it is post mint just looking at the rim and not really seeing anything like it where it should be on the retained folded over piece. You know a lot more than I that is for sure.
