Beat up 1953S coin with RPM?

Wanted to know if this is damage to the MM or is it an RPM? The coin is damaged as you can see. I tried finding it on CC but cannot identify markers because of the damage plus I'm not sure which one it could be. It might be a 001 or a 024 I just don't have any clue. All help is appreciated. Thanks.

Can you tell us what part looks like an RPM? I'm not picking anything up other than a damaged cent.
    My old coin album.

Here is what I see. Is it also normal for the tail of the S to be that big?

It might be MD, a hit or a beaten up RPM. If there were a split serif or two it would be easier. Being the coin is so banged up, if it is not listed, and indeed an RPM, I don't think it could be listed in that condition. I think all you can do is see if it matches a known listing by way of markers or just keep it in the question-mark pile for the future.
