Question regarding a Lincoln 1955 no mint mark

Good afternoon , my name is Ralph from Connecticut and new to the site at least this part if it . I was afforded the opportunity to cherry pick through some wheat cents and came across a 1955 lincoln cent that I have a few questions with . While examining the coin an anomaly that is visible to the naked eye but not impressive looking via a loupe appears on Lincoln's head ( temple area ) . Also a nice die crack I believe from the bottom rim obverse moving up in Lincoln's jacket a ways . Also on this coin reverse another anomaly was noted from the O in cent to the first U in Pluribus . I'm looking for thoughts and input , as I have never seen what appears on thinks head before ( lamination , die crack ???? ) or something else . I thank you all for your time and appreciate all the input or info you could provide . Thank you again , Ralph

Welcome to the forum! I would say it's a die chip.

Only seeing a picture of the temple area right now. Possible some die damage, but could also be an adhesive blob on the surface of the coin (which you could determine by soaking it in acetone). A clearer, in focus photo would also help. Welcome aboard.

p.s. The "no mintmark" means it is a Philly cent.

Here is a better one and also shows that possible die crack I was also talking about

Yes, die crack in the vest, and most likely a die chip on the head. The dies in this era were used until they literally fell apart. Die chips and cracks in this era are VERY common. Not worth a premium. Welcome to the forum.

My guess is that he anomaly on the head MAY be a lamination error. It looks like the peel may have started at the top of the head, was curled over and broke off.
