    1982D small date RPM?

Does this cent appear to be a RPM? There is a bar inside the D. If it is what variety could it be? Thanks

That is a normal mint mark. Not an RPM.

I guess I should have elaborated my answer a little more. The Mint mark is punched separately into the die, making it incuse. Depending on the strength of the punch, depth, how many times they need to punch the die to get the right depth, etc..all will be a factor in the mint mark's appearance on the coin when it is struck. What you are seeing in the center of this mint mark is die damage incurred most likely from punching the mint mark into the die.

It's actually a damaged punch - but yeah.
