Just wondering if anyone can help explain this strange gold coloration on a 2002? Cause and effect? I personally haven't seen one like it. I've seen lots of different coloration, again personally; this one just has me a bit perplexed.
I think when pocket change goes through the wash, especially the cents, we start to see abnormal color schemes like purples and blues from the detergents. Maybe that is what is happening here
The cause is certainly environmental. Maybe from a wash cycle or maybe something else. The plated Lincolns are rather reactive and tone oddly with minimal chemical influence.
