    1996P trail lines & questions

This is my first trails find, and I believe it’s the 1996P-1DEO-005T from traildies.com.
The obverse marker on my coin (small die dot under T of ‘LIBERTY’) matches the site’s… but mine is missing the reverse markers (die scrapes).

I am having a somewhat difficult time trying to differentiate between trail lines and heavy die flow lines. Except for the fact that flow lines are radially formed and trail lines will always point in the same direction on any particular coin, are there other areas of distinction between the two?

I can see that the trails on ‘IN’are easily recognized, but… looking at the O of ‘GOD’ and also the ST of ‘TRUST’-- did I correctly identify the trail lines(red arrows) and die flow lines(yellow arrows).

What about the R of ‘TRUST’ … are those trails or die flow lines? Or both?

    Thanks

I'm seeing lots of signs of die deterioration. IN looks like it might show promise in addition to the deterioration. BJ will chime in.

Now that I've taken a closer look, I think it might be. Keep in mind though that a lot of what you are seeing on this coin is die deterioration. That's what all the metal flow lines are.

Although this coin might have die deterioration but i still believe this is a trail die as i stated earlier.

It is a combination of die deterioration enhanced by trail die lines. It does look like die 5.
