    Wheat penny value

    I have aquired $160 face value of 1950s and $100 face value in 1940s , and $50-70 face value in thirties, $15 in twenties and $5 in teens with 10-20 1909 and 1909 vdb worth of wheat pennies. What is there value? I would like to sell them.

    Put them on eBay. You'll find out. It's a pig in a poke as it is. Most buyers want to know what's in the bag...

      The stuff from the 30s through the 50s are 'common date' wheats that should bring 3-4 cents average retail. The teens and 20s coins can go in a separate lot and should bring 10 cents each average retail. The 1909 cents would have to be dealt with on a one on one basis. The VDB cents are worth about double what the plain cents are worth. VDBs run from $5 up and the plains run $1 up.

        It really depends how you sell them.

        Have you searched them well for varieties?
        Maybe there's still something good to find in the batch.
