    1995 P

I found this 1995 P in my search tonight. It looks like a glob of copper to me. Is this common?

Still looking for my first licoln memorial variety cent, have been through about 5,000 pennies and thought I would get one sooner or later. I have been getting pennies from the bank, asking for rolls at the gas station and super market and the soda fund at work. Is there a good source to purchase uncirculated rolls?

    Thanks, Louis

Louis, it looks like another plating blister. This coin is not riddled with them like the last one you posted, but have you tried the tooth-pick test on this one? Remember to push hard. I don't know what else it could be.

I pushed really hard on the defect but it did not deflate. After posting this I found a second coin in the roll with an identical defect

It must be die damage then.

It does look like a die chip... Strange how it follows the eye though!!!
