    1949D RPM

    Hi guys,
I have looked at this thing so long I think I am seeing what I want to see at this point. Some other opinions would be greatly appreciated. I believe I am seeing a very faint D to the north and rotated CCW. Any thoughts???

I see what your arrows are pointing at. I don't know either. Let's see what the others have to say.

I say it's pareidolia. The mind is making a D out of a hit, some discoloration, and strong flow lines from a worn die. That's what I see anyway.

Will is most likely correct but I see what appears to be and inside loop of the D in the first pic!!!

Pareidolia will destroy ya! I am glad someone else see's what I see, there IS a loop inside of the main D which appears to be the bottom part of the "faint" D, plus the little "node" on top of the main D looks like it all connects. Can't wait to hear some more opinions...........................Paul is dead, Paul is dead!!!!!! I hope I don't have to explain that!I know Will gets it!

I even see what appears to be similar damage to the N.East corner of the D on the secondary image.
