Most any Error book will tell you. Not sure on Memorials.
Here is a good site that explains MD types and as far as I know Memorials are the same as. And is free.
Die varieties such as doubled dies, Repunched mint marks (RPMs), Over Mint Marks (OMMs), Repunched Dates, Overdates, coin design varieties, as well as regular coins and error coins.

I think he is talking about this:

Die varieties such as doubled dies, Repunched mint marks (RPMs), Over Mint Marks (OMMs), Repunched Dates, Overdates, coin design varieties, as well as regular coins and error coins.

If you scroll to the bottom of the article you can see various type of MD. Showing 3 types of Machine doubling.
http://www.doubleddie.com/144801.html And I didn't notice MDD. Just MD my bad.

I have that list...as well as notes on master die and hub "doublings" from BJ's awesome study, much of which I am still working through, as well as Wile's master die/hub notes from his website (some of which I disagree with) as well as hundreds of my own notes on master die/hub anomalies, on which I continue to work in my spare time. It is my passion.

I've been focused primarily on wheats for about three years now. In the beginning I spent more time educating myself, reading, etc. than I did searching and it paid off. For the last year or so I've spent the majority of my time searching and developing an eye for varieties while applying what I've learned. I used to know the MDD locations for many of the wheat years but I've managed to forget most of them simply because I don't refresh my memory enough on the specifics. Because I've focused mainly on RPM's for such a long time I've forgotten what it feels like to find what you THINK is a jam up DDO only to realize the doubling you're seeing is as common as can be! Time to re-educate! Thanks guys

P.S.- For you newbies out there - stop torturing yourself so much in the beginning by making uneducated attributions based on less than all the information! Put the loupe and the scope away for awhile and pick up a book. A week of study can save MONTHS of frustration!
