Found this 1937 wheatie while roll searching. Noticed a raised line on the reverse from the wheat stalk to the top of the letter I. Don't know what caused it. The wheat stack has been stamped into it, so I assume it is a planchet error but I have never seen one before. Any thoughts? Sorry about the picture quality.

The way that it sits atop the wheat stalk tells me that the most likely scenario is that it is something adhered to the surface of the coin. Try soaking it in acetone/picking at it with a toothpick. All opinions expressed are not necessarily shared by willbrooks or his affiliates. Taking them may result in serious side effects.
