Does Liberty on this coin look normal for a 1981P? The only other 1981P I have is in my Warman's book and it is too shiny to tell. I cannot find a close up image of this year's Lincoln on the internet.
I always just set these aside until I find another of the same date....but yes it looks pretty normal other than it may have been polished in a few places, making some of the devices appear thinner
Thank you Maineman. I am surprised how difficult it is to find quality photos of "normal" Lincoln cents on the internet. I had 2 other 1981's but they were so damaged, they definitely did not look normal.
80-82 (LD) always give me fits when I find them, even in decent grades. Sometimes it looks like the lettering is doubled, when it's just they're so damned chubby.

Well....let's just say I learned it in the 70's, but he actually wrote it in the late 60's.....seems like the stuff from your teenage years just sticks with you.
