What does an extra column or partial extra column look like when it's inside of the bay? I know it is raised, but does it look smooth like the small doubled columns I have seen at the statue? The DDR extra Columns I have seen on coppercoins.com look kinda jagged and thinner.

Take a look at the column DDRs on CC http://coppercoins.com/diesearch.php The ones you are thinking of at the Statue area are Class 9 which is associated with the single squeeze method the other columns are Class 4... Hope that helps!!!

Thank you Jim! Yesterday I found a 1989 with what looks like a partial column, well I can see this one better because it doesn't have all the verdigris and plating stuff going on like the 99 did. But I am thinking it's just a raised die scratch, it's thin. I will keep looking and comparing.
