A question for the more experienced people out there. I have noticed that some of the older coins such as wheats can have the "Mint Marks" way out of the normal position. My question is are they worth anything or just an acceptable error because of the way they are punched by hand.
Not really worth extra.
They were punched by hand, as long as it got someplace under the date that was ok. Some even touch or almost touch the date.
It helps in IDing varieties but I've never known it to add a premium.
