Just normal environmental/circulation wear/damage PMD. IMO

Looks like a LD to me.
It had the bulge on the top of 0, the 7 is long, the 9s curl points downward not back.

I think it is a LD but it has some thin features that made it look like a SD.

          Added:

The toning is in certain areas where it got skin oil from handling.
I'd call it normal toning not staining.

Did not think there would be a question about small/large so I skipped the close up. He re are two. Looks small to me.

I'm with the SD also... I think skin oils or someone sneezed on it that should make it natural

I'm not a 100% myself at this point. There may be too much of the 7 below the 0. I'm also not sure if this MM is associated with a SM.

That is definitely a small date. After a lot of searching and finding these, the sure fire way to know is the wider loop of the upper 9 on a small date.

That's what I go by as well. However hits and other anomalies that may affect the loop have deceived me before. I think the MM position on this one is right for SD but I'm concerned about the 7.

LIBERTY is real weak on the small date and normal looking on the large date. And that chiseled point on the 9, like you say Roller, circulation wear can mess with that.

It's a tough one, I'm often 100% sure on these.

The 7 and 0 look like LD.

The 9 doesn't have the blunt tip like a LD but it has stuff going on that might make it look like SD.
The MM looks right for a small but not sure that it's a reliable way to tell.

LOL, just not 100% sure. LOL... funny Roller started sure it was SD, I started out pretty sure it's LD. Now I'm not sure either.

I've always looked for the 9s curl being pointed on SD but if there's and shift or MD it can hide the blunt.

I thought that if the top of the 7 is below a line drawn from the top of the 9 to the 0, it is a large date?
And that is what is what this coin exhibits.
Some large dates have the weak LIBERTY don't they.
