It is a well struck coin but I can't see anything in the areas you mentioned to indicate a doubled die.
Not sure if you are familiar with the images available on the PCGS web site.
Here is a link to 1984D PCGS .
Auction records are in the lower area and HA usually has some good images you can enlarge for comparison.Comment

This might be helpful for you Dearing... when you are searching rolls, sort your coins by date and mint mark. Then take one date at a time and start your searching session. Go to coppercoins advanced search, click the mint mark and type the date in the top box, then hit enter. That will open up all of the coppercoins listings for that date and MM. Before you start looking at your coins, look down the list of all of the CC DD's. That will help you become familiar with what to look for on your coins. Then... just start looking through your coins and comparing them to the DD's.Comment

You are very welcome! I can tell you are a serious Lincoln hunter!
You can start with coppercoins while you are doing your date search, and also check Wexler and Variety Vista.Last edited by VAB2013; 10-03-2018, 11:53 AM.Comment

Some of the listings on coppercoins are also the same ones listed on Wexler and Variety Vista, they just have a different numbering system. Most of those are cross-referenced on coppercoins listings at the top of each listing... there is CONECA which is Variety Vista, Wexler, Crawford and the FS# which is the Cherrypickers' Guide reference number.Comment

That is a nice coin... Looks to be in excellent shape... Did you find that in a roll??? I do not see any doubling either... DDs threw all of us off when we first started... You will catch on eventually... If I can learn to i.d. a DD so can you!!!Jim

Excellent roll find... The early copper plated zinc lincolns will be extremely hard to come by in the next few years... The higher the grade the higher the value!!!Jim
