Another error for you guys to check out. Definitely more prevalent on the reverse.

Probably a lamination but wondering if there's any way to determine if this could be a "retained struck through extra metal" (if I phrased that correctly)?Comment

This is definitely a lamination. You would be able to tell easily. A struck through would have a well defined edge to it whereas lamination peels are uneven and show no predetermined shape. There are few examples of struck throughs being retained, and I am not sure where 'extra metal' with a shape like this would even come from.if there's any way to determine if this could be a "retained struck through extra metalBob Piazza

Thanks Bob. It is an odd shape.
This one just seems to have a different look to it around the perimeter than most laminations I've run across.
The edge of the coin leading to the anomaly seems to be slightly "turned under" in spots, like something pushed against the planchet. But it's really hard to tell when I enlarge it.Comment

Cool lamination... To me it looks like there is a lamination on the obv - north of RTY and just west of Abes head??? To me the rev lamination looks as if it came from the area of the O in ONE but I can not tell for sure as the pic blurred to much when I zoomed in... I do not think it was a pre strike lamination as the O of ONE would have been better developed... The area from the missing section of the O toward the EPL of EPU looks to have a faint shadow about the same size as the lamination piece??? If you could get a clear close up of the NW quadrant that would be awesome!!!Jim
