    1979 S Type 1 & 2?

    Hello everyone!

I am going blind trying to look at these two coins and possibly losing my mind after trying to get these photographed. lol
When I purchased these two coins, one was labeled type1 and the other type 2. However they look the same to me.

I am sorry one picture is a little blurry. I hope good enough for your eyes.

Are these the same types? I have labeled one A and the other B to help with this... hopefully helps lol

Thank you so much in advance for your amazing expertise

I believe you are correct -- They both look to be type IIs.

Type I is generally referred to as a 'blob', but neither MM looks blobbish.

And to make things a bit more confusing -- The '79 Type II is the same as '81 Type I.

I concur. Both look T2 to me. The "blob" is very pronounced on the T1.

lol I seriously got the worst anxiety looking at these two coins. I packed up all my coins and put them away.

thank you for answer and the link!

Thank you! They both looked a bit thick to me compared to the type 2, but definitely not as blobbish as type 1.

Thanks again for your answer and the link.

You are welcome... Until another day when you pull the coins back out just to go thru it again
