1946 S wheat... missing dot and faded

So I've read somewhere that a 1944 S error on the reverse was the faded lettering on E• PLURIBUS and a missing dot in between due to over used die...could that also be the case with a 1946 S?

(The "Quote" button wasn't working so I just placed it in "Quotes")

Well, a number of things to mention here:

-First, in general, weakness can be a minor error or a result of circulation.
-Second, grease from equipment falling on the die can cause weakness in details and devices.
-Third, die polishing can contribute to some loss of detail.
-Fourth, deep areas of the dies opposite any weakness can be contributing to the weakness by restricting metal flow into the less deep areas. (Lincoln's shoulder often causes weakness to the O of ONE on wheat cents)

I'm sure others will have more to add, but these are what popped into my head.

Your coin seems to be the result of circulation.
And yes, that weakness you mention can happen in just about any year because of the items I mention above.

The longer you collect the more you will see, find, and learn.
