Hello, I recently found this coin and I need a little help with it. You guys have always helped me in the past so I figured I would submit a picture of it and see what you all think. Thank you in advance.
Let me know if you all need snother picture. Thank you
Is there any information you can give me on the distinction of a 1982 mint mark D penny that makes it so valuable? Please and thank you
I understand that it’s got to be a small date, preferably but is there any other distinctions?

Take a look here... If you find a 1982D Small Date Copper (not plated weighs about 3.11 grams) there were none known to be made, then you have a winner!!!

Jim beat me to it. I was going to put up the same link. At the very top, in the link he provided, you will see the seven types of business strikes that were minted, the 82P small date copper is not in that list and should not exist but a few have been found.
