I need some help here. While sorting some of my proofs I noticed what looked like a "buldging vein" protruding from Lincoln's forehead, as if he just got done working out. Since it stuck out so prominently I thought I'd give the others on my desk a "quick" look. I noticed something odd, it seemed that I had a difficult time finding it before 1987, and not on 1990. In fact it looked like Abe got a haircut for that year's school picture 
(my bad, just couldn't resist). I still need to check out my later dates (still in boxes).
So, is it a wild hair (as with the 1992 pompideau
), or a buldging vein? .. and most of all: is it an error or variety?
