Just found this, is it MAD, DDO, MD?
1972 Doubled Rims.

It's MD on the date Joe. The rim is normal for that date too. 72's and 73's had high thick rims. You can usually pick them out of a pile from across the room from the rims. can't tell whether there is any hub doubling, master or otherwise.

LOL, I knew that. I was just testing you.
I'm sorry Louis. I really shouldn't be replying to posts when its past my bedtime.

I agree with Rock that Joe's coin (he he, their user names are similar) I mean Louis's coin has MD on the date, normal rims and this coin was from one of the later Master Doubled Die Hubs. I can tell from the T in LIBERTY.

what does it mean that is is from one of the later Master Doubled Die Hubs?Comment

It seems mid way through 1972 the Master Die was either remade or re-engraved resulting in some dramatic doubling - this doubling used to be listed as Die 5 with the MD (Master Die) designation by CONECA. According to Wiles it affected two Working Hubs that have specific die markers and is present on 50-60% of all 1972 Lincolns.
