so is the chip on the upper loop of the S on all four dies? i really just see it on two and three.
I believe it was on the punch used to make the S's. So, yes, it is on all 4. If you are referencing being able to see them on the picture in the OP, I can also see it on #4. However, all dies wear as they are used. You will note that the MM pictured from die #1 is rather fat. That comes from wear and probably several small die chips as the die was used. Obvious, the wear/chips took the original die chip with them.
