    1986 rpm?

    Anybody notice a 1986 RPM, minor, lower right. I've seen it two times now. Forgot to mention it is on the D

        It would be impossible to answer your question about a specific RPM without pictures. There are some 1986D RPMs though.

                It looks a lot like plating issues (common in the 80s) but I'm not 100% sure because the picture is a little blurry.

                  It is a plating issue. The Zinc is starting to expose itself to the SE of the MM.

                        I think it is one of those confounded plating problems which are common on the 82-89 Lincolns. You have a good eye for anomalies, so keep looking.
