Storage Question

As you may know Im working on a book what is the best way you feel to store my 2x2 coins that im using for reference. Right now i have them in 2x2 type boxes by row. but was thinking of going to 2x2 pages in binders. Which do you think will be more useful when working on the book and then when completed good for quick refernce and cross reference.

the 2x2 i thought would be good so i can label the binders for easy reference HOWEVER the same can be done with boxes. 2x2s i need to worry about PVC boxes i dont think i do as much. What is your take on this Im open to suggestions since im still using boxes now.

Jean has a nice way of keeping her coins - maybe she will pipe in. I do the same as you except for our "nice" finds that we put in a 2 x 2 and in a plastic leaf.

Actually I use both methods, boxes and binders. I also stopped using cardboard flips.
I now use unplasticized (non PVC) 'Frame-a-Coin', or 'Saflips'. I keep my best bu coins in flips in specially treated boxes by Intercept. I store bu and circulated variety and super error coins in flips in binders.
For my personal collection and the collection I am putting together for my grandchildren I use Dansco and Intercept albums.
Other extra coins are in tubes and stored in boxes.

i use dansco for my WAM finds. and for 90% of my coins i have tubes and rolls i can use , its just for the coins im using for the book. the 2x2s i use cause i can write on the back. im sure i can do the same with your flips using the paper on the back

how are flip prices compared to 2x2 prices per 100?

I discovered that cardboard flips can be more expensive and a pain in the bum if you tend to remove coins for rechecking at a later time. The unplasticized flips have much easier access for removal and restoring.
