I haven't been collecting that long but the grading question is on my mind. Who has the most qualified grading system? If you don't want to post here just PM me with your response.
used both pcgs and ngc think that pcgs is over rated(my opinion)...cost are about the same...ngc sell for just a little less...but you can have ngc does conservation and then grading at same time and they have a no grade 5.00 fee pgcs charges full price for no grades(returned to you with a lable of what is wrong with it) ngc also has a affilation program with the ana so if you are ana member free membership with ngc...pcgs is 50.00 (basic memebership i think)....look at the priceing of coins on ebay and you will see type of different prices...richard
I have only ever sent coins to ANACS. When I am buying coins, I prefer to buy PCGS coins. My opinion has always been. Use ANACS for varieties and lower priced coins. Use PCGS for more valuable coins and Key Dates. I think that ANACS, NGC, IGC, and PCGS are all equally qualified to grade coins. I have 114 graded coins, there are 20 from PCGS, 13 from NGC, 7 from PCI, 1 from SEGS, and 73 from ANACS.

I've used them all and found that pcgs is the most expensive and the slowest. Pcgs does bring a higher price but grade was they seem the same (unpredictable). I think coin world did a story where they sent the same coin in 3 times and got 3 different grades from most of the companies. Like Brad said, for varieties go with Anacs, everything else I use NGC ($14- 3 weeks).
