To be honest with you, when coins are this worn and beat up, it is not really worth trying to look into there being anything remarkable. It is just too difficult to be able to evaluate what anything abnormal might be.

      Thanks Bob,
To also be honest Bob this coin reminds me of me Old and worn out by the railroad after 42 years as a electronic Tec. But it was my grand fathers. Ry aunt just gave it to me a month ago and she says he had it through WWI when in army. She also says he had told her that there were many extra letters in the motto of coin and it was his lucky coin. Like you say hard to tell. But I am sure that like me every scar and nick could tell us a story. By the way my wife doesn't waste her time looking at me as worn as I am for any remarkable thing either. HaHa
Nice place Niceville not too far from me here in Ga.

        God spelled Gawd here.
That's a fine coin considering it's travels, get one of those DIY slabs for it.

Sentimental value for a coin is a completely different ballgame for me too Rollem. I am sure all coins could tell a story. Just the fact that this coin had stayed in the possession of your Grandfather and Aunt for so long is pretty cool in it's own right. I sure wish there was more that could be made out on the coin.
