This coin just looks weird to me so I'd thought it was worth posting.The right hand appears to have what
looks like an extra finger of some sort.It could be a number of things but Im going to see what the rest of
you guys have to say about it. Thank you!!
I see it. I would lean toward it being a small die break. I wouldn't expect a hub doubling to occur in that area, and being it is isolated to one instance it could be hard to prove if it didn't appear to be a break (or related damage), but you may have to get an in hand opinion to be sure.
I came across a few of this example in early 2010 but have not seen any lately. I've been thinking about digging them out of the pile to make some comparisons. I think now I will do that and post what I find.
It could be a strike through or other damage... Nest to the tip of the finger on the book is some damage that appears to line up with the area in question!!!
