    1941 S vs 1941s

    Which is harder to located the Large S variation or the smaller S. it took me to remember which year had the change over but just wondering which is harder to find in the wild.

      The large S is more rare, but I seem to remember that both are not that hard to find.

        hmm maybe i never paid much attention i saw the 2 different ones and was like this is cool. i wonder how common these are. I remember one year having a change over like that. Also i know we have a page for all different mint mark changes. just didnt know which was common if not both were.

        wasnt there a narrow and wide 4 in one of these wheat years in the 1940s the date got a moderate restyle on the 4?

          The Large S is harder to find, but both are common. Of the mintmark varieties, a 1928 Large S in uncirculated condition is very scarce. The rest are common. Look for 1941 Large S in PCGS holders (unlabeled) - they are out there I have seen at least 5 of them in person. Also, the Large S seems to have more rpms.
