    Recommended Reading?

I'm getting some books from Amazon, namely a Yeoman's Red Book, and Strike it Rich with Pocket Change. Are there other books I should get, assuming I'm interested in all the errors and varieties of pennies? Or, is there a webpage somewhere that details popular numismatic books? Thanks!

Redbook is worthless as a price guide. But is a GOOD reference book.

Why is it worthless? I remember using it as a kid and getting lots of information out of it.

He said worthless as a price guide.....the prices are just nowhere near real market prices, that's all. The other information within is pretty good.

I have found that the book "Looking Through LINCOLN CENTS-Chronology of a Series" has been a very good reference by Charles D. Daughtrey. Also the book "THE AUTHORITATIVE REFERENCE ON LINCOLN CENTS-Second Edition" by John Wexler and Kevin Flynn.

I'm a bit partial to Wexler and Flynn's because it's the only book besides the phone book I've gotten my name into..

Don't want to forget this reference collection...http://www.dvnmagazine.com/pastissues.html

              Hi Sean,
One book I found after an extensive internet search is "The Error Coin Encyclopedia" Fourth Edition by Arnold Margolis, NLG and Fred Weinberg, NLG. This one shows just about every variety coin recognized at the time, andexplains how its anomaly was caused.

Of course there isn't anything quite like our own LCR member experts posts with the overlays and comparison posts.
Don't forget to check out and download Billy's (dvn) Die Vareity News magazine each month.
