    Havin No Luck

Man i am really startin to get dicouraged here........$10 IN BANK ROLLS AND FOUND 2 WHEATIES!!! Do you other members have dry spells like that? Or is it me not looking close enough? I usually have pretty good luck and find somethin of interest but recently nothin.....nada! WHEW!! Just had to get that off my chest. Maybe oughta change banks or somethin, but dont seem like that would really matter. Pennies is Pennies i guess. Anyways just wonderin if it was just me with all the bad luck! Good luck to your searches.....and if ya got any extra luck.....i'd appreciate it if you would send some my way

Don't get discouraged. We all have dry spells.. I usually take a little break (maybe a week or so) if my luck is really bad. I usually only get about 7-10 wheats per 2500 pennies on average. I talk about coins so much to anyone I see that it gives me the excitement to continue... *poof*... I just hit you with some fairy dust.. hehe.. maybe that might work!

I have searched three bricks once and found a-b-s-o-l-u-t-e-l-y nothing.
Maybe another bank sounds like what you need. You might be getting the same coins back, using the same bank and all.
I try different banks because there are other searchers in my area.

I have dry spells, but also it takes a lot to get me excited...I know I have three WAM's,a 72 DDO-002,a couple minor DDO's,a pile of wheats, and some other odd stuff sitting in my review later tub,but it's nothing I haven't already found and posted so I feel a little discouraged right now too.But I remember a couple of months ago when I had a $50 bag that had apparently been searched because there were no wheats or copper cents. I made myself keep looking because I didn't have anything else to look at.....then boom...two 94 DDR's and a 95 DDO just like that. So don't get discouraged !!!!!!!!!

Dont dispair brother, the bank that I've been searching out of( my main bank) for the past six months told me that all the coins stay with in the main branches of the bank. Lately . I've searched over 120.00 of rolls and saw nothing but the same consistant dates, over and over again with no results. They recomended hitting up the big banks for rolls . Nothing outstanding yet but persistance is the key. If you hang tough, I'll do the same. Dry spells suck but you have to ride them out. Keep at it and so will I. Tom

There is a plus to how I get my rolls. I get them from my work 10 to 20 rolls at a time then after I search them I re-roll them and and exchange them for 10 to 20 more rolls. I know I'm not seeing the same coins over and over. Since the rolls I have searched get handed out in change. Then end up in customers pocket, change jars, Etc. So it should be at least a year before they end up back at the bank to be rolled again. however that doesn't mean I don't still get dry spells.

When I first got into Lincoln looking, my first 20,000 ($200) Lincolns yielded only one 1998 WAM and one 2006 double ear as the biggest finds. Not much return compared to many of the experienced searchers. But we have to remember that we're all always improving.
