    1985P Ear Problem

Hi All, was looking at the 2011 dds and asked myself where are the dds in the examples I looked at on several sites. Wow, speaking of minor dds only the 4 5 &7 seem to be a dd that would survive the slightest of circulation so hoard up the BU's. If only the 3 trunks of circulated lincoln cents I have could be graded like the 2009 and 2011 I could sell tons on ebay. LOL

Since now after thinking I knew what a dd displayed but finding the 11's as they are I thought I would show this 85 I have been holding out on to see what some may think. I think there is a second ear Southwest of normal.

One more question who or what identity makes the final calls on different varieties such as dd's?

    Thanks

I'm not seeing anything that remotely looks like an extra ear. I think you're looking too hard.

Looks like a hit from here, but I would say if Bob,Billy,or Mike call it, you have a pretty positive answer

I still see nothing. Maybe you could try to make an overlay?

Would you please back off on the pic a little bit so we can get a better perspective. I would like to see it with most of the profile visible.

It appears that it may be a DD... I do see the seperation line and the bulge at the bottom of the ear... IMHO... However most people have their ears on opposite sides of the head... LOL!!!

Well, that certainly is not what I ws looking at earlier...sometimes it might be better to mark the anomoly when it is not obvious.

It doesn't appear to be anything of consequence. Thanks for taking the time to re-shoot the pics.
