    1963 "Pennies from heaven!"

4 weeks ago I posted a thread in General Discussion Forum: "1959 D He's my angel!" Then badthad generously took the times to explain what I had posted about and said it's called Cartwheel Luster. (you'll have to go back to the thread if you wish to understand better). Then 3 weeks ago I posted a thread in Off Topic Discussion: "My fortune", I had Chinese take out and my fortune cookie read: "Pennies from heaven find their way to your doorstep this year!" Again I dont believe in fortune telling but I believe in heaven and I believe in God. And as someone posted; Messages come in many different ways.

I have not posted much due to a busy schedule. (Yet been faithful to peek into LCR so to keep up). Anywhooo, I did keep the eye busy on searching as well, bank visitis, etc. ...So, this evening...ooops, last night (its 2:46am now) I decided to unroll and search the mounds of rolls Ive been collecting from the banks, and not stop still they where all unrolled. SO...came across this roll with all 1963 Lincolns. And WOW! Except for the roll of 1999's I came across the other day, I've never had this happen where the whole roll was full of coins that looked this good and for this year. ...Well, have a looksee. This (Cartwheel Luster) may be nothing new to the veterans and the experts here on LCR (and beyond) but I must share, this is awesome for lil meeee! LOL! I have yet to really examine them intently but Im thinking I'll be posting about a couple of them. Now, the angel wings (Cartwheel Luster) may be more apparent more on some of the coins than others but they're there on most all the Lincolns!. And I like how they look. Enjoy the pics! (I took the pics under different lighting.

Sure looks like someone was dumping someone else's coins back into circulation. What a waste!
Those would never be in a roll I recycled. It sure makes me wonder what happened.
But, there I go being skeptical again.... and suspicious... at least you got some really really nice shiny mint fresh 63P to keep!!!
And, when it comes down to it, that is what is more important. You were meant to find them.

Your funny Jean, yet so true. Since I started coin collecting, I often wonder the stories behind them; the why are these unique ones in circulation?? The other day my daughter received change back at a store, she had been to 2 stores with dad and does not know for sure which store she got the 2001 broakstrike Lincoln. It caught her eye while she sat in the van counting her change. She got home and said, "Mom, I was counting my change and I saw this one, and I knew you would like it!" As soon as my eyes caught a look at it, I thought the same thing others thought when I post it here on LCR.... HOW ON EARTH DID THAT GET INTO CIRCULATION!

Yes, it is a nice find and in all the years of my searching I only have found solid date rolls from a solid date brick (newer) unless it was from a sealed bag of solid dated rolls. A really nice find. CONGRATS!!!

Very odd and unusual to have a roll like that circulating around, but but I'm glad it was you who found them. They are beautiful coins and you were meant to have them.

Jfines, I have not had the chance really examine well. Yet I too notice thickness, the first & second I posted is the same coin. The last is another coin. I didn't mention thickness etc. on the post to see if someone else would notice & comment as you did. I plan on posting on a few of them.

I haven't examined them thuroughly really (w the micro lens) so not sure of your question. Please, you may elaborate as to what you see. Sorry about your runins with tricky women tho... But I can tell you hubby married me bc I was as honest as honest Abe.
