Hello All, it has been some time since I was last on. Here is an interesting coin that i found. It is 1974-D 1c with what appears to be strong doubling on the portrait, and possibly on Lincoln on the reverse.
Very cool Minty! I hope it turns out to be a two-fer new die.
Jean
Thanks Jean -
It's been fun this year - I have submitted three new dies (cents and halves) and think I have a cool dime - I have sent it into Jame Wile at CONECA for his review. Crossing my finger on this one. You can see the dime here: http://www.lincolncentresource.net/f...hp?albumid=175
Thanks - I have had this ever since I joined LCR and saw something odd in the beard using my triplet loop. I just couldn't capture what I was (optically) seeing with any digital USB camera I found; if you recal the horrible tries by me last year
Anyway - on this goaround with the photography attempts and finally learning how to get actual colour and clairity, I began to notice all of the little doubling-like features. It intrigued me. Note: the redish photographs were a result of the failing camera. It actually provided a neat contrast in the exhibits though
The photo of the reverse was an absolute after thought. I cannot wait for the input I get from the community (Bob and other clubs). I am hoping for some excitement (I also have play the lotto form time to time so really am not expecting much )
