Ran across this 1987-S Proof in a roll a few minutes ago. This is the 3rd Proof I have come across in about 2 weeks time.

You're on a roll Joe, I've found three in the past year (64,80,99) but really don't enjoy seeing a proof all scratched up....but I still save emComment

Nice find Joe.
I am guilty of recycling a badly scratched, cloudy, or damaged (noncollectable) proof coin.
Awhile back I took several to my bank to hand out to the nice tellers so they could experience
the obvious difference of a proof coin to one made for circulation. They were amazed at the
colors and the sharp rim and image. It is always fun to share this hobby.

Jean.
I like to do this especially around Christmas time with my '63 proof silver quarters and dimes - it's a tradition.
(I hate garage sales for the same reason, lol, and wind up just giving stuff away)
