    Finding 2009 Lincoln Cents

Is it just me, or are the 2009 Lincoln cents disappearing faster than Obama's rating points?

In customer rolls, bank boxes and pocket change, I used to average about 10% being 2009D (all four iterations). Here in California, I rarely get 2009P versions. And occasionally, I would stumble onto a BU roll (in a business' till) and acquire that.

But now, I am lucky if I get one example per roll. I can go multiple rolls without finding a single example.

Heck, I still get 1968-1974S at about 3%, but virtually no 2009s.

I suppose it is safe to assume that people are hoarding those because of the 4 different (one year only) designs.

I just finished $20 in customer rolls this morning from my credit union and pulled 17 of different designs and mint marks. I have just been putting all of mine into a quart container and will go through them at some point and seperate. I guess I average about one per roll here in North Iowa.

I don't get many either and certainly few in decent condition. I hoarded the BU's early on so I have a bunch.

Guilty of hoarding the new rolls.

I still see quite a few but only check for the extra thumb. I bought my rolls way back when so I'm not hoarding.

I keep them all... except the "Birthplace" depicting the Log Cabin. (Don't like 'em so I dump 'em.)

I guess I am guilty of hoarding them as well. I have almost $1000.00 worth of 2009 coinage. I had to get them to account for the natural buoyancy requirements for keeping the house down in a hurricane. I guess I overloaded one side of the house, and had to adjust the weight.

Still finding quite a few; but only keeping the DDR's
                    lp2 and lp3. Would keep the #1's if I found 1.
