Nice rotation on the '72.
I believe we have a case of MD on the '84... as also seen under Abe's nose, chin, bottom of rear hairline.
Very interesting '94. (I'll wait to see what the others think on this one.)
That '92 is a mess and I have no idea about it. (Struck through something..?)
The ears do look odd, but I think they are still the result of something besides doubling. If you use the reference point of where the tragus meets the antitragus, you can see that both lobes extend past to the same degree. Both ears are still the same size.
(see here for picture showing the tragus and antitragus- http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/e...lsize/1126.jpg)

I'm sorry. I thought when you said rotation on the 1972, you were asking about the devices on the obverse. I didn't see the obvious rotation of the reverse below it. Yes, I agree with the others, it is a nice rotation.

Agree with Roller that the 72 may have the reverse of die #4. But with that and Rock's correction, I think you've made a case for posting one coin at a time to avoid confusion and to get better opinions.
1. 1972 with rotation. Nice too. Perhaps 40 degrees.
2. 1984 with MD. Shows on ear, bottom of nose, bowtie.
3. 1994 with a severe slash on the ear (PSD). Cut off the "doubling" and the ear is too small.
4. 1992 obverse severely struck through grease.
Wendell Carper It's a bird! It's a plane! Aw nuts... It's merely two die scratches!
