Could be, could also be linear plating blisters. Maybe Bob or Billy could take a look...

My first guess would be linear bubbles/striations. With that being said, I would like to have a look at it to verify what it is.

In the first pic it appears to run across the columns which would indicate plating bubbles... Hope I'm wrong though!!!

There looks to be something there more than just bubbles. Very curious looking cent indeed.
