    Interesting 1985-p

This coin looks too have MD on the head & shoulder area. But what's interesting, the toning follows the MD lines all the way around the head, chin, neck,& back of the head. The blue toning in the pics is the true color.
The MD seems too have (3) areas of movement on this coin.
    What say you?????????.

    Thanks...........................Ken.

Looks like a chem reaction to me. (Could be wrong.)

I tend to agree with George. It does look as if something was spilled or put on the surface resulting in the unnatural toning.

Maybe a dipped coin. Dandruff shampoo will give it that blue or even purple hue. I dip coins just to practice being able to spot what artificial dipped coins look like as compared to a natural toned coin. I know some coins will tone naturally blueish or purpleish in paper rappers in mild and cooler conditions over a good bit of time.

I would agree with the unnatrual toning.
