The Complete Guide to Lincoln Cents

For those of you who don't have this book, it is now available for free viewing on Google Books. It's an excellent reference for the history of the Lincoln Cent, as well as for mintage figures and other useful information for each year and mint of the Lincoln Cent. Here's a link:

Features a complete history of the Lincoln cent with research of events leading up to the production of the Lincoln cent, the engraver and mint officials who designed it, as well as a biography of Abraham Lincoln. David Lange examines all attributes of the most commonly collected coin series to date, including detailed information concerning rare Lincoln cent errors and patterns. Winner of the prestigious Numismatic Literary Guild award.

    Thanks,

    Jody

Thank you Jody I will use as much as I can. I had no idea that so much effort and controversy surrounded the production of the Lincoln Cent. It is to be treasured.

Thanks so much Jody! While I was lucky enough to find this at a local library sale several years ago, but I don't carry it around much Now, thanks to you, I can check up on things via my phone where ever I am. The modern age does have some advantages!

I was reading this yesterday... it only lets you look at so many pages. I only got to page 90 and it said my limit had been reached.

But, the first 90 pages were pretty interesting!

Thanks for pointing that out. It let me get to page 141 before giving me that message. There is no explanation that I can find as to why there are viewing limits.

I think this is supposed to just be a preview. I do know that normally on these previews you can scroll up really fast, then scroll down really fast, and in that way confuse the thing into allowing you to read more

Some books on line give random sampling of various pages. Keep trying by starting over sometime after you reach your limit.

Yea, it's just a preview....but a pretty generous one. They only blank out cetain pages so if you keep going gown it will start showing you more. After using that preview 100 times I finally just bought the book. LOL It's money well spent for the Lincoln collector.
