    Updates from my Treasure Hunt#2

Friends,Thank GOD for this Wonderfull Forum.I Love it...I took the advise someone named (Lucein) had given me when I first joined the forum and slowed down a bit while looking at the Pennys.I saw a very nice 1998 like MINT Penny and noticed the
close AM on the back. Not a Scratch on it...this out of a Penny Roll ! I went a did research on my sites like Ken Porters 1998s Proof sales of close AM's selling for $1,750.00. I dug in on every-bit of DETAIL of this 1998s PROOF pictures...even checked out Wikipidi showing values of upto $20,000....

    1)Close AM (touching together).
2)FG placed far away from the building.
3)Three (Rectangular Pillars) added features (this Proof) on eitherside, steps of the Memorial Building.
Thank (GOD) all Check out nicely.

Whats more,I was still puzzeled as to why I have no S MINT MARK,till I checked (Lincolncentresource) Top LCR Variteys list and right on TOP of the list #1 is a 1990 no S Variety.Friends, you see the (finsh-coating)on the 1990 no S pic,it has like streaks ...and so does mine. One theroy of HOW this PROOF S with no S got into a Penny Roll is that it has no S MINT mark People probably thought its just another 1998...sounds logical to me...how about you?

Well,.....looks like I found a 1998 no S PROOF (Close AM)! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!
Ofcourse,I'll have the exact pictures of the coin as well as part of my Treasure Hunt#2
uploaded within just a few days....God Bless!

Additional: How can a 14 old coin be in circulation and Shine like just Minted/and no Marks on it...thats the Mystery that captivated me to write this POST.It must have been kept in a Air-Tight enviorment to retain this much beauty.Again...all of the above a theory!I appreciate your Patience in my getting to upload pictures,it will not happen again.God Bless!

    Beck,
    Kissimmee,FL

PS:I am including coursety pictures of 1990 no S and FG examples from Ken Porter and Linconcentresource.
PS:I local coindealer, while I visited a few months ago had told me "You'll never find anything in a Penny Roll...."

Proof pennies are made special by the mint and come in sets that are issued by them. They are struck in San franscisco. They are not for circulation but issued for the collector sperately. Please go out and get a "red book" in the hobby / coin book section of your book store. You are extra new to the hobby and need to read up on the hobby before you do much more searching. Even one of those how to collect coin books. Please do that or else you will get embaraced.

What you found is a nice shinty 1998 normal everyday penny that over s billion or so were struck.

        Sorry

Those would be substantial finds. I love your enthusiasm. Congrats on getting into the hobby.
Beck, I still get lost when reading your posts sometimes. I'm not sure what exactly you've found, and it's complicated by the grammatical errors. Perhaps you could try full, grammatical sentences? I'm really not trying to sound like a jerk, but rather I'm trying to offer some advice that will get you better results/responses when you post.

I might suggest following Lucien's advise and try to learn a lot more before thinking you have discovered treasures and trying to sell them.

Lucine's isn't the only person's advice that is sound and been offered repetedly.

PLEASE- purchase a coin book- read it from the first page to the last, then repeat several times. Suggestions of reference books have been made several times. There is no replacement for knowledge and experience. As you're trying to educate others without either I can't continue reading your posts.

My ,suggestion is to take it one coin at a time and read, read read and continue reading and searching. You will know when you have reached the point where you become comfortable with correctly identifying varieties and possible errors. Take it slowly.

Lol! Ken is one of my own "coin idols" I've talked to him at length many times. But you can't get the money without asking for it! At least he certainly has the knowledge and understandiing to back up his inventory.
