Lost without the vast knowledge and eye for discerning the varieties we wish to see in our coin. He is the truth meter we rely upon.

I was thinking that we have very few opinions to rely on if Bob was not here with us. Our foundation is very thin and apart from JC , BJ and CD and occasionally MD, we have no other first responders. This is something which I also have thought about for a while and it is cause for concern. Any opinions Anyone?

Lucien, I disagree with you and I agree with Roger (Maineman750). Not to take away from the 5 people mentioned in your post and their expertise in this hobby, but this forum has several members who know a heck of a lot. All are quick to respond and lend their time and knowledge to others. Collectively the people on this forum create an identity all its own and one that is not only protective of the hobby, its unity but is in itself an expert in this field.
Like Roger said, let's not worry about something that hasn't happened. Who knows, some of these young people on this forum could very well be the next generation Piazza, Daughtery, Diamond, Neff and so on.

I like your spin on this ......very positive. I pray that Bob will be with us until I can attribute some of the more difficult dies. We love all our attributers dearly but Bob has shared so much with us over the years. He has taught us so much if only we could be like a sponge and soak it all in he would be one Happy Man.

Wow...This all came out of no where. I thank you all for the kind words, but I am not planning on going anywhere for quite a long while. Thank you Roger!

The best part of all this, is that people here are learning more and more every day. The knowledge level is substantial already. I don't worry at all about not being on here for a few days and anything going unanswered. It is clearly evident that more and more people have the answers others seek. I take my hat off to all of you who participate every day in helping each other out.

I would be perfectly comfortable sitting in the background and watching the knowledge flow. Even though that's not going to happen, I don't need to respond to nearly as many questions as before. You folks have taken a substantial load off me, and I thank you for that also.

Many thanks to you Roger for the question and thanks to Bob for giving us a glimpse of the present and the future. I'm loving it all the way into 2012 and beyond. I am again very excited for the future of this LCR Community.
