I thought that too. I haven't seen much lately from him either, but today I saw that his Price List was last updated Nov. 2011. I'm sure the others are a good comparison too.

Ken Potter's site has an inherent problem. He is only listing coins he has for sale, so those prices are something we could use to try and average out a price for the coppercoins price guide. However, as stated, he lists only those he sells, not like coppercoins which has prices for just about everything we list there.

I have several discovery pieces on 1983 DDO cents, 1989 DDOs, a 1972 S DDO Lincoln , several half dollar ddos etc. etc. Some, like the 1972 S cent have had very few others found. It is a rare coin. The fact that there may be two or three means that they are not sold often enough to have a valid price affixed to them.

Some coins like the well known 1995 DDO Lincoln and the 1974 D DDO Kennedy have fallen in price because we have come to realize that there are way more of them out there than first thought.

Sometimes a price is established by sales and sometimes they are established by educated guesses.

        Have Fun,
        Bill
